Abide…

Found poetry from this morning’s sermon on  Genesis 5. You can listen to the entire thing by clicking here.

Fast-forwarding

gives us perspective.

No matter

how long

you live

you still

die.

What does it all

really matter?

Whatever ends in nothing

really means nothing.

In reality

I’m a mircroscopic

blip.

Death is inevitable.

The last word

is always

the

same.

In a sea

of

“and then he died.”

A defining quality

changes.

Enoch

walked

with

God.

Not a distant God

with distant promises.

But

someone who walked

in the Garden.

Someone who walked after.

Intimacy.

Legacy.

Walk.

Abide.
